Veggie Balls with Quinoa

Fussy tots like the independence of eating with their fingers and these little balls are easy to pack vegetables into. Plus, quinoa and tofu are fantastic sources of protein for those on a vegetarian diet.

These Vegetable Balls with Quinoa are the ideal finger food for on the go.


Recipe Saved


100g firm tofu
100g cooked quinoa
80g cooked sweet potato, mashed
100g carrot, peeled and grated
50g dried breadcrumbs
15g sundried tomato paste
40g Parmesan cheese (or vegetarian/dairy-free Italian style hard cheese)
2 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
100g brown mushrooms, chopped
2 tsp sweet chilli sauce


  1. Measure all of the ingredients into a food processor. Whiz until finely chopped. Shape into 30 balls.
  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Fry for 5 to 7 minutes until golden.
