100g butter, soft
60g caster sugar
170g plain flour
1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
- Pre heat the oven to 180 C , Line two baking sheets with non-stick baking paper.
- Put the butter and sugar into a processor and whiz until creamed. Add the vanilla and flour. Whiz again until the mixture comes together. Shape into a dough. Roll out the pastry and stamp out hearts and other shapes using cutters. Place on the baking sheets and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Bake in the oven for 15-18 minutes until pale golden. Cool on a wire rack.
- Mix the icing sugar and a little water to make a thick icing. Divide into two bowls and add red and pink colouring to both bowls. Spoon into piping bags. Pipe the icing over the biscuits and decorate using the sweets and icing pens.
