Turkey, Sweet Potato and Red Cabbage Puree

Tickle your cherub’s taste buds with this festive Christmas fare. This could also be made with left over turkey.

1 tbsp olive oil
1 leek, sliced
1/2 small apple, peeled and diced
150g minced turkey
250g sweet potato, peeled and cubed
200ml chicken stock
100g red cabbage, chopped
10g dried cranberries, chopped
1 tsp sage, chopped


  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan.
  2. Add the leek and apple and fry for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the turkey and brown over the heat.
  4. Add the sweet potato, stock, cabbage and cranberries.
  5. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes until the meat is tender and the potatoes are soft.
  6. Add the sage and blend to a puree consistency.
