Sweet Potato & Tomato Sauce

To help your baby learn to chew, add tiny pasta shapes to this sauce as a way of introducing texture.

Ingredients
1 medium sweet potato (approx 200g) peeled & chopped
1 1/2 tbsp Annabel Karmel Organic Pasta Shapes
15 g unsalted butter
150 g tomatoes, skinned, deseeded & chopped
20 g Cheddar cheese, grated
2 tbsp milk
Method
  1. Steam or boil the sweet potato for 10 minutes or until tender
  2. Meanwhile, cook the pasta shapes according to the instructions on the packet, but without adding salt to the water
  3. Melt the butter in a small saucepan and sauté the tomatoes until mushy, then stir in the cheese until melted
  4. Blend the cooked sweet potato and tomato and cheese mixture together with the milk using a hand blender
  5. Stir in the pasta shapes
