Salted Caramel Teddy Bear Pancakes

This Pancake Day, celebrate in teddy bear’s picnic style, with these adorable pancake creations. Spread with Jim Jam’s Salted Caramel Chocolate Spread for a healthier Pancake Day treat!


175g self-raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
10g caster sugar
2 large eggs
150mls milk
1 Jar of Jim Jams Salted caramel spread
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
White fondant
Black fondant


  1. Measure the flour, baking powder and sugar into a bowl. Add the eggs and milk and whisk until smooth. Add 100g of Salted Caramel Jim Jam’s spread and mix well.
  2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Put one 8 cm round cutter into the pan and two 5cm round cutters. Add some of the mixture and fry for a few minutes util the mixture is set. Remove the cutter, flip over and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  4. Put the large pancake onto a plate to make the teddy bear’s head. Trim the smaller pancakes to make the teddy bears ears, then add to the large pancake. Spread with Jim Jam’s caramel spread. Roll a small amount of white fondant into an oval and add to the pancake to make the teddy bear’s face. Make a nose, mouth and eyes out of the black fondant.
