Salmon with Mashed Potato and Carrot

This dish contains nutritious veg as well as protein packed salmon. Fatty acids in oily fish are important for the development of your baby’s brain & nervous system.


200 ml unsalted fish or vegetable stock or water
190 g potato, peeled & chopped
90 g carrot, peeled & chopped
125 g salmon fillet, skinned, cut into 1 cm cubes
2 tbsp frozen peas
50 g mature Cheddar cheese, grated
1 tsps fresh dill, chopped


  1. Put the chopped potato & carrot into a saucepan, cover with the stock/water.
  2. Cook for 10-12 minutes or until the carrot is just tender.
  3. Add the salmon & peas, cover & simmer for 3-4 minutes until the fish flakes easily & the vegetables are tender.
  4. Remove from the heat. Stir in the cheese, dill & mash.
