Ingredients

  • 350g minced turkey thigh
  • ½ apple , peeled and grated
  • 1 small carrot, peeled and grated
  • ¼ red pepper, finely diced
  • 1 small onion , chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh sage , chopped
  • 30g Cheddar cheese. Grated
  • 45g Panko breadcrumbs#

To serve

  • Mini burger buns
  • Large pretzels
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Edible eyes (from Tesco)
  • Cocktail sticks
  • Lettuce
  • Mayonnaise

Method

  1. Measure all of the ingredients into a food  processor . Whiz until finely chopped. Season and shape into 15 mini burgers.
  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan. Fry the burgers for 2 to 3 minutes  each side until golden  and  cooked through
  3. Place a lettuce leaf on top of the halved bun, then the burger and finally the top of the bun . Break the pretzel into two . Stick each half into the top of the bun.  Attach a cherry tomato for the nose using a cocktail stick and finally stick the eyes onto the burger bun using  a dab of mayonnaise.
