Raw Cacao Energy Balls

Try these delicious healthy treats. Unlike regular cocoa powder these cacao energy balls are made from cold pressing cocoa beans to remove the fat. Cacao is a good source of antioxidants, magnesium and iron.

Makes: 20 cacao balls

Ingredients
130g dates
70g pecan nuts
1 tbsp peanut butter
2 tbsp raw cacao powder
1 tbsp sunflower oil
½ tbsp agave syrup
Method
  1. Put the pecans into a food processor and whiz until you have fine crumbs.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and whiz until very finely chopped and the mixture has come together.
  3. Shape into 20 balls and roll in extra cacao powder.
  4. Chill and store on a plate in the fridge.
