Porridge with Blueberry, Pear & Apple

My purple Porridge with Blueberry, Pear & Apple makes for a great start to baby’s day. Oats provide a slow release of complex carbs keeping your baby fuelled for longer.

This is an exclusive recipe from Annabel’s latest book Weaning Made Simple.

Ingredients

250ml milk
40g porridge oats
1 eating apple, peeled and grated
1 ripe pear, peeled and diced
75g blueberries

Method

  1. Pour the milk into a small pan. Add the oats, apple and pear. Stir over a medium heat until boiling. Simmer for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the blueberries and simmer for 2 minutes. Blend until smooth using an electric stick blender
