Porridge with Apple, Pear and Apricot Puree

Your baby will love this Porridge with Apple, Pear and Apricot Purée. Simply add portions of the fruit purée to your baby’s porridge in the morning for breakfast.

Ingredients

1 tbsp porridge oats
6 tbsp milk
160 g apple, peeled cored & chopped
150 g ripe pear, peeled, cored & chopped
4 dried apricots, chopped
water

Method

  1. Put the fruit into a pan with 4 tbsp water, cover and cook for 6 minutes or until tender.
  2. Allow to cool then blend to a purée.
  3. Put the milk and oats into a saucepan and bring to the boil, simmer, stirring occasionally, for about 3 minutes.
  4. Add the purée to the porridge and blend further if necessary.
  5. If serving as a breakfast for a 9-12 month old, add fresh fruit
