My First Chicken Tagine

It’s important that your baby gets plenty of iron from six months, and chicken thigh meat (those lovely dark bits) is a fantastic source. Paired with veggies and a dash of cinnamon, little ones will love this simple Moroccan medley.

This recipe uses the Dualit Baby Food Maker which steams and blends which means that preparing purees couldn’t be easier – hurray!

Ingredients

100g sweet potato, chopped and peeled
50g boned chicken thighs, diced
15g dried apricot, diced
100g medium tomatoes, skinned and chopped
35g spinach

Method

  1. Peel the sweet potato and then chop it and the chicken into small cubes.
  2. Add the dried apricots and steam for 10 minutes. I’m using the Dualit Baby Food Maker which has a handy steamer basket.
