First Vegetable Finger Foods

Start off with soft finger foods and avoid giving hard foods like raw carrot. Steam or bake the vegetables until they’re tender. Root vegetables like carrot and sweet potato make great first foods as they are naturally sweet and rich in vitamins A & C.

Your baby will need to be able to close her hand around the food, so its best to start with pieces long enough to hold in her fist, with some sticking out. Around 6-7cm should be perfect!
