Fiendish Fruit Platter

Ingredients

5 clementines, peeled and left whole
2 small bananas, peeled
5 kiwis
200g blueberries
100g blackberries
½ cantaloupe melon
Edible eyes
White icing pen
Black icing pen

Method

  1. Put the peeled whole clementines onto a platter.
  2. Peel one kiwi and slice as strip of the green flesh to make 5 stalks for the tangerine pumpkins.
  3. Insert into the tops of the clementines,
  4. Carefully remove half of the peel from the remaining kiwis to make the head of the little aliens. Add edible eyes and draw a little mouth on each one.
  5. Slice the bananas in half widthways.
  6. Draw a mouth and eyes to make a ghost’s face.
  7. Put the blueberries and blackberries onto the platter.
  8. Add the eyes to the blueberries using the white icing pen.
  9. Peel the melon and cut out 4 grave stone shapes out of the flesh. Write ‘RIP’ with a black writing icing pen.
  10. Arrange the fruits on the platter.
