Easy Easter Brownies

If you’re on the hunt for the squidgiest, yummiest chocolatey treat…look no further!  This will win you SERIOUS brownie points with the Easter Bunny!

For added ease, the Dualit Hand Mixer will mix the brownie base in quick-time, ready for a cupboard raid of leftover Easter eggs to top!

Ingredients

Brownie Mix
150g butter
200g plain chocolate
200g caster sugar
3 large eggs
80g plain flour
pinch of salt
To decorate
2 Crunchie bars
4 x Curly Wurlys
20 Mini Eggs
Easter eggs, crushed

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C Fan / 350°F / Gas 4. Line a 20x20cm square tin with non-stick baking paper.
  2. Measure the butter and chocolate into a bowl. Put the bowl over a pan of boiling water until melted.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the eggs, caster sugar and pinch of salt. For ease, I’m using the Dualit Hand Mixer with flat beater attachment.
  4. Add the melted butter and chocolate and mix again. Add the plain flour and stir until smooth.
  5. Spoon into the tin and level the top. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  6. Break the chocolate bars and eggs into pieces. Scatter over the top and gently press down. Put back into the oven for 5 minutes to melt slightly.
  7. Cool and slice into squares.
