Easy Chocolate Mousse

The addition of creamy crème fraiche and orange zest definitely gives this chocolate mousse the WOW factor.



Recipe Saved


200g plain chocolate
200ml whipping cream
2 tbsp orange juice
1 tsp finely grated orange zest
100g full fat crème fraiche


  1. Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water until runny. Don’t allow the base of the bowl to come into contact with the water.
  2. Leave to cool for 5 minute.
  3. Lightly whip the cream in a bowl.
  4. Add the orange juice and zest. Add the crème fraiche to the chocolate and stir until smooth.
  5. Fold in the whipped cream and spoon into 6 glasses or pots.
  6. Chill for 1 hour before serving.
