Dippy Egg with Cheese & Tomato Toasts

Step aside toast soldiers; these Cheese & Tomato Toasts are ready to take a dip and add a fun twist to the much-loved classic! Eggs are full of high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals, including vitamin D, folate, iodine, and long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. These are all essential for growth and development, and runny or soft-boiled eggs are a great way to introduce this superfood to babies.

1 Large egg
1 Slice of bread
A little unsalted butter or plant-based spread
1 Cherry tomato, sliced
15g Cheddar cheese, grated


  1. Preheat the grill. Put the egg into a saucepan of cold water.
  2. Bring up to the boil, then boil for 3 minutes.
  3. Spoon into an egg cup.
  4. Toast the bread on both sides and butter. Top with the tomato slices and Cheddar.
  5. Place on a baking sheet and grill for 3 to 4 minutes until melted. Slice into fingers and serve with the runny eggs.
