Spooky Spider Fishcakes with Scary Sweet Potato Faces

Now here’s a great way to trick your little pumpkins into eating their veggies; yummy fishcakes disguised as scary spiders!

Kids will love to decorate their creepy crawlies and cut out sweet potato into stars and jack-o-lantern faces (perhaps with the help of a grown-up). This is a healthy Halloween meal even grown-up ghosts and ghouls will love.

Ingredients
2 Young’s Omega 3 Fishcakes
1 large sweet potato
2 tbsp olive oil
1 black icing pen
1 slice of mozzarella cheese
Stoned black olives
½ mini yellow pepper, halved and thinly sliced
½ mini red pepper
Pumpkin cookie cutter
Method
  1. Pre heat the oven to 200C Fan / 220C / Gas Mark 7.
  2. Slice 1 ½ cm slices from the sweet potato. Stamp out a pumpkin shapes using a pumpkin cookie cutter and carve scary eyes and a scary mouth using a sharp knife. Brush with oil and arrange on a baking sheet lined with non-stick paper.
  3. Put the Young’s Omega 3 Fishcakes onto a baking sheet. Put both baking sheets into the oven for 15 minutes until lightly golden and cooked through.
  4. Using the black icing pen, draw two spider’s webs onto two dinner plates. Put the fish cakes on top of the webs. Make the legs out of the peppers. Stamp or cut out rounds of mozzarella for the eyes and black olives for the eyeballs and eyebrows. Make a scary mouth out of a small piece of red pepper.
  5. Serve with the Scary Pumpkin Sweet Potato Faces for a spooktacular fright night supper!
