No Bake Train Cake

By

The beauty of this cake is that it requires no cooking and can be created in very little time from basic ready-made ingredients. Older children will enjoy helping you assemble it but watch out that they don't eat the ingredients first as it's made out of all the things children love. You can choose any selection of sweets for the goods carriages.

  • Wow I am going to attempt this for my sons birthday next month - and I may have to pinch Sallylalala’s idea on the fruit too :)

  • Made this for my sons first birthday with a few adaptations and it came out absolutely beautifully.  I cut the swiss rolls in half before making the carriages and used a party ring for the front of the engine rather than liquorice.  The biggest change though was than rather of sweets I filled the carriages with fruit - strawberrys, blueberries and kiwis.  It was relatively easy to make and the results came out spectacular.  I am a newcomer to the whole cake decoration business but still got amazing results so I would definitely recommend this.
