Pumpkin seeds are a powerhouse of nutrients. They contain healthy omega 3 fats, which are crucial for brain development and a healthy heart.
For a delicious snack try these Honey and Soy Toasted Seeds
Heat one tablespoon of sunflower oil in a non-stick frying pan, add 75g each of pumpkin and sunflower seeds and cook continuously stirring, for about 2 minutes or until the seeds are lightly browned. Remove from the heat, stir in 1 tbsp soy sauce, return to the heat for one minute and then leave to cool.

Love this tasty recipe but it keeps welding to the greaseproof paper or baking tray despite greasing with butter. Does anyone have any tips??? Thanks x

Lovely! Goodness there's nothing wrong with natural sugar! Make sure they clean their teeth!

I made these today and got 14 slices, my baking tin is slightly bigger and rectangular so they are a bit thinner but nonetheless a good size, adequate for my 10 yr old's lunchbox. I have calculated the nutritional values, based on 10 as the recipe suggests, each portion is approx 226 cals (13% of child's daily need)18g of sugar (23%) and 6g of sat fats (30%). Not that healthy for a toddler. Cranberries and dried apple mostly have added sugar. There is hardly any natural sugar. They are delicious, however, so cut smaller portions for smaller children.

I agree with Vikkih. Way to much sugar and syrup to be considered healthy. Very nice though...

Very nice but so much sugar! Dried fruit, sugar AND syrup? Should be a rare treat rather than in healthy recipe category... or kids will have no teeth left
