Apple & Pear Puree with Cinnamon
|
If you freeze single ingredient purees like apple and pear in ice cube trays you can simply defrost one cube of apple and one cube of pear and mix them together. |
Apple and pear puree is an ideal first food for a baby food recipe as it is easy to digest and unlikely to cause allergies. Choose sweet apples like the Pink Lady variety or Royal Gala. Apples and pears contain pectin which can slow things down if your baby has loose stools.
Ingredients2 dessert apples
MethodPut the fruit into a saucepan together with apple juice or water and pinch of cinnamon (if using), cover and cook over a low heat until tender (about 6 to 8 minutes). Blend the fruit to a smooth puree. |

Have anyone tried to freeze this recipe with good results. Can you provide some points on how to do it? Thank you.

Made this recipe this afternoon and my son loved it. Instead of the orange juice i added 1 spoon of natural greek yoghurt. I found it very tasty too!
