Your kids will love this strawberry sorbet as an ice lolly. If there’s one food almost no child can resist it just has to be an ice lolly. Unfortunately most of the lollies you buy are full of artificial flavouring and colouring so why not make your own ice lollies from strawberry sorbet or fresh fruit. Strawberries contain higher levels of vitamin C than any other berries.

Lolly Ingredients

30g caster sugar
40ml water
250g strawberries, hulled and cut in half
1 medium orange squeezed (approx 40 ml)

 

Method:

Put the sugar and water into a saucepan and boil until syrupy (about 3 minutes).

Allow to cool.

Puree the strawberries with an electric hand blender and combine with the cooled syrup and orange juice, and then pour this mixture into the ice lolly moulds.

Freeze until solid.
