I disagree that these are budget recipes, they contain as many ingredients as the recipes in other sections and some of these ingredients are expensive such as the beef in the stir fry or they are things I would not use up in time before they went out of date making the meal even more expensive, I find it hard to give my children a balanced diet because of a tight budget so some genuine budget recipes that are healthy would be appreciated

I have 2 children and one on the way and decided to ditch the processed food. most items which you need for these recipes you'll find in your cupboards, i.e caster sugar, rice wine vineager, soy sauce and these have very long life spans. ive just done my weekly shop and purchased 6 main meals off recipes on this website, two of those are from budget meals. its actually worked out cheaper than id normally spend on processed/ pre-prepared meals. i found that looking for other recipes that also needed that item worked out quite well as it saves you money in the long run for instance buttermilk. Its definately worth looking around, perhaps price up your weekly shop online before heading to store? Also beef isnt expensive at all - perhaps try going to the butchers for your meat rather than a super market?
