Broccoli Recipe with Two Potato Mash

Broccoli recipes are healthy vegetable superstars. Broccoli is best steamed or microwaved in a broccoli recipe, as boiling it halves its vitamin C content. If your baby isn't keen on green vegetables it's a good idea to mix them with sweet tasting root vegetables like sweet potato. Try this broccoli recipe with two potato mash.

It’s not good to continue giving smooth purees for too long or your baby may get lazy about chewing.  When a baby chews food he exercises the same muscles he needs for speech development.  Mashing makes a gradual transition to a slightly more lumpy texture for your baby and it’s a good idea to mash some root vegetables together with green vegetables and cheese.

Why is this recipe suitable from 8 months and not before it seems all ingredients a baby can have from 7 months or am I wrong?

my 8 month old baby boy loves this he can't get enough, will be making a lot more of it from now on x
