Broccoli nutrition is a good source of vitamins. It provides an excellent source of vitamin C and betacarotene so a broccoli nutrition recipe is essential for your baby. The darker the florets, the higher the amount of antioxidants. You should also make sure you include some oily fish like salmon in your baby’s diet a couple of times a week. This provides essential fatty acids which are important for brain development and a baby’s brain triples in size during the first year. Try this Salmon with Broccoli & Cheese Sauce recipe for broccoli nutrition and omega3.

Broccoli Nutrition Ingredients

75g salmon fillet, skinned
A small knob of butter
50g broccoli florets

15g butter
15g flour
200 ml milk
20g gruyere cheese, grated
 2 tbsp  parmesan cheese, grated
2 tbsp  mascarpone

Broccoli Nutrition Method

Put the salmon in a suitable dish and dot with butter. Cover with cling film, leaving an air vent and microwave for about one and a half   minutes. Meanwhile steam the broccoli florets for about 4 minutes

To make the cheese sauce, melt the butter, stir in the flour and cook for one minute .  Gradually whisk in the milk, then continue to stir over a low heat for 3 minutes until the sauce thickens.  Take off the heat, stir in the gruyere and parmesan until melted, then stir in the mascarpone.

Flake the salmon and finely chop the broccoli and stir into the cheese sauce..

My boy enjoyed this from 6 months; I made the cheese sauce with cheddar only as that was what we had available and it was still very tasty.

Thank you so much for these great recepes, i always check the site for new food to make.
My 8 months old baby loved this, I did only use a small bit of chedder and one laughing cow cheese, a good way to get little ones used to the taste of fish.

This one tastes beautiful and I just made it with a cheddar cheese sauce, however, my son didn't like it much! I'm not having any luck with meats so far...didn't like chicken, now doesn't like salmon :-(

I tried this when my twin girls were about 7 months old and they now have it three times a week, this is a firm favourite. I also make a huge pan of the three cheeses and freeze in portions as they love it with pasta, ham and mushroom. The youngest wouldn't eat a cheddar cheese sauce but loves this one, much milder and I think very tasty.
