When can a baby sleep through the night?

Jo Tantum says

When your baby is 3 months old (or 12/13lbs) they are capable of sleeping 7pm-11pm (dream feed) and then until 7am without a feed. When they are 4 months (or 15/16lbs) they are capable of sleeping from 7pm-7am without a feed.

Nutritionally your baby will be getting all they need in the daytime. It is important for your baby that goes into a nice long deep sleep .She is processing all she has learnt during the daytime and also her body is repairing itself .So a baby who sleeps well is healthier and happier and so are her parents .
To help your baby sleep longer you can stretch your babies night feeds by 15 minutes every few nights.
