Feeding a poorly child?

Jo Tantum is the UK's No 1 baby sleep expert. Her best-selling book Baby Secrets is available at all good bookstores and also available through Amazon.

Your baby will go through many growth spurts as she heads towards toddlerhood. If your baby was sleeping well in the night and then starts to wake in the early hours again, it is usually because they are hungry and going through a growth spurt.

If your baby is wanting to feed more often then offer both breasts at each feed in the day. If your baby is having formula milk then offer 30mls more each feed.

If she is having 8oz (210ml) each feed  and she is nearly 6 months old then you can start to think about weaning. Once your baby is weaned they will then start to sleep through the night again.
