Once your baby is 9 months old and actively exploring her environment (which often involves her putting every object she lays her hands on in her mouth), there seems little point in sterilising feeding spoons. However, bottles, teats and beaker spouts should be thoroughly washed and sterilised until your baby is one year old. Your baby’s hands should also be washed before eating.
