Growing independence

The final quarter of a baby’s first year is a time of rapid change, babies will progress from sitting to crawling and maybe even walking. This is a time of growing independence and many babies refuse to be spoon-fed and only want to feed themselves. Towards the end of the first year a baby’s rate of growth and weight gain tends to slow down quite dramatically and sometimes babies who have been good eaters become fussy and difficult. This is quite normal so do not worry. |
