You can begin to teach your baby the difference between night and day. During the day talk to your baby and play with him but at night feed him using a dim light and keep everything very quiet and calm.

Don’t worry about getting your baby into a strict routine in the early weeks; she is too young to respond. At 3 or 4 months your baby is able to go longer without the need for food and she will start to respond to the feeding and sleeping patterns that you set.
