• Lie your baby face down and encourage him to move by placing a favourite toy or object just beyond his reach – he will want to try and reach for it or crawl after it.

• Activity centres like push button musical toys where you push and turn knobs to make a sound are good as they help your baby to learn about cause and effect.

• Encourage your baby to kick his legs in the bath. You can hold your baby so that his tummy is in the water but his head and shoulders are supported above the surface, allowing him to splash with his arms and legs.
