Default Sardine and Potato Pie aka easiest fish pie ever!

This was so yummy and warming on a cold evening. Less fat than traditional fish pie and no more than two pans on the go - yay! Even better... no white-sauce-making

1 can of sardines in tomato sauce or oil
400g can of tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp oregano
A couple of handfuls of frozen peas
3 potatoes, peeled and chopped
1 tbsp butter
75g Cheddar, grated
  • Put the potatoes on to boil until tender. Drain and mash with the butter.
  • While the potatoes cook, simmer the tomatoes, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, oregano and peas for a few minutes until the peas are tender. Flake the sardines then add the the sauce.
  • Share the sauce out between 2 individual serving bowls (or 2 and a small one ) then top with potato.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Grill until the cheese has melted.
