Sorry I havent been on to answer you! I just use normal granulated sugar but I guess you could try a different sugar for a change.

I had to guess at the sugar as had not been back online since I saved the recipe, so used golden caster sugar.
Is in the oven now and smells yummy.
can't wait for 5pm as that is when it will be ready!

It is so nice. I thought i wouldnt be keen but i love it. Have to restrain myself as im on a diet.

OMG - that was SOOOOOO yoummy!
We took it around to a friends house still warm and managed to eat the lot within an hour of getting there between six of us.
thanks for sharing the recipe
will definitely make more - maybe tomorrow!

BIG MISTAKE made today.

Seeing Rachael's post I decided to defrost a couple of ripe bananas that I froze a while back. I normally use them to make smoothies, from frozen, but figured they would have to be defroseted to make the banana bread - and yuck! they have defrosted into a brown liquidy masse - truly disgusting looking, so have chucked them in the bin.

Now I will have to wait until my current bananas are over ripe to make again. gutted, as wanted to make more tonight!
