Default quick and easy chicken nuggets

These make a good finger food and you can batch cook them and they cook from frozen too, just make sure you give them longer in the oven if frozen!

2 chicken breasts (ish)
3/4 slices of bread
pinch of garlic powder
pinch of paprika
1 egg
some milk

First lightly toast the bread then whizz in the food proc to make breadcrumbs, then add the garlic powder and paprika and whizz again. Beat the egg together with the milk in a separate bowl. Cut up the chicken into bitesized chunks. Dip the chicken in the egg and milk mixture, then roll in the breadcrumbs. Place on a greased baking tray and cook in the oven for about 20 mins - depends on how big your chunks are. Will take longer from frozen.

My step son loves them and thinks they're better than mcd's - result!
Hope you enjoy them.
xx

I tried these out the other night on the family. The baby ate them happily and my 5 year old announced that it was the "best tea ever" - so thank you

These sound lovely! Oliver is too young for them yet but might make then for hubby - he has a thing for chicken nuggets & I normally buy organic ones for him but these would be better. Thanks. x

mmmmmhhhhhhhhhh yum! am gobbling one of these as I type!
Just made a batch, didnt have any eggs silly eejit me forgot to buy them today!! so just used the milk and the breadcrumbs stuck. Also thought I would try spreading a bit of peanut butter onto some of the chicken chunks before I put them into the breadcrumbs (didnt put into the milk) and they are really yummy too!
Use organic chicken breast too (after Jamie the other night!!) and really think the chicken taste soooo different thought gosh were they expensive! £4 for 2!!! but think they are worth it.

Just hope that the nuggets will last till dinner tomorrow night!
MUST NOT nibble on them tonight!!
