My daughter absolutely adores pasta and this is her favorite recipe:
- 1 or 2 cans of tuna - Heavy cream (this will depend on how much cram you want on your sauce. I normally like it creamy, so I tend to use on a pack of bowtie pasta or any other you choose to use so there can be leftovers for my husband as well, two or three small packages, around two cups or so). - 1 medium size onion - Mushrooms - Peas (frozen) - Sweet corn (canned) - Worcesteshire sauce (about 2 tsps) - Olive oil - Tomato sauce (2 tbsps) - Salt and pepper to taste - Bowtie pasta (tri-colour or even four-colour pasta...my daughter loves this) Put a pot of water on the stove to bring to a boil to cook your pasta. Add two tbsp of oil to a pan, add onions until golden brown. Add mushrooms and worcesteshire sauce, cook them for about three minutes. Add the tuna drained (you can use tuna in oil or water), cook for 2 minutes. Add peas and corn and allow to heat for 5 to 6 minutes until peas have defrosted. Add heavy cream and cook for about 7 minutes. Add tomato sauce, bring to a boil, set aside covered until pasta is ready. Drain pasta, put it in a large bowl or tray, pour the sauce over the pasta and toss it all aroun so all the bits of pasta are covered by the sauce. Serve right away because this tends to cool quite fast. Bom Apetite!!!!!!!! |
