Bumping this recipe up, was searching for a sausage casserole recipe that invloved baked beans and this came up. Didn't know what I was looking for exactly, was thinking BBQ flavour some how but this one sounds quite nice. Has anyone tried it? Wondering also if chopped toms would be ok instead of passatta?

OK, have made this, slightly differently, didn't do on hob just browned off sausages, onions and carrots, chucked it all into a casserole dish and added about 1/4 pint veg stock and is in the oven cooking now, just took it out to give it a stir and tasted and OMG wow, tastes amazing!! Can't wait to have this for dinner tonight now, hope Finlay likes it
