Default Turkey Twizzlers and Pumpkin Wedges

This was Isabella's first taste of meat. She loved them and stlll does. I originally posted this on the old site. Might be useful for people looking for finger foods:

I mixed a handful of minced turkey with some apple and pear (uncooked so I mashed the pear till it was was very smooth but the apple chopped really finely till it was kinda shredded), half a teaspoon of cinnamon and rolled the mixture into some sausage shapes (about the size of a chip). Stuck em on the George Forman for about 20 minutes until very well browned. I left them to cool for aggges and they were cold before she got them.

Chopped some pumpkin (left over from another recipe) into wedges, brushed with sunflower oil and baked for approx 35 minutes.

I just put this on the table for her to help herself and she loved it. She ate 3 of the turkey things pushing it in with the palm of her hand when she got to the last bits. I tried some too and they were surprisingly moist inside. The pumpkin she just sucked and spat out but she kept putting it back in.

These freeze well too xxx
