Default Bread & butter pudding

Yummy my fave...

12 slices of slightly stale bread
6 plums stewed
2oz sultanas
25g butter
50g caster sugar
2 large eggs
1 pint full fat milk

Preheat oven to 140c
Spread the bread with the butter then the stewed plums.
Cut into triangles & place in a large dish.
Sprinkle the sultanas over the top.
Layer more bread & more sultanas.
Mix the milk, eggs & sugar together then pour over the bread.
Bake for 1 hr.
Serve with custard, cream or ice cream,we prefer custard.

instead of using butter & sultanas etc, i just spread my bread with mincemeat, it keeps it moist & is quick! Delia Smith also does an grown up choc version!!!! I was thinking of trying 2 make one for my girls using choc spread as big one doesnt like raisins. xx

Ethan has been having cows milk in sauces, custard and rice pudding since he was around 7.5 months.

Cows milk can be used in cooking from 6 months.

Cow's milk is fine in cooking from 6 months - it's 12 months when it can replace formula/breastmilk as a main drink.

The recipe looks delish and can't wait to try it with Isabella.
