Every one seems to like this pie including my two small boys, and it is nice to have a lot of different recipe's for salmon up here in Alaska:0)
Pie with Salmon and apples (4 pers.) Ingredients for the dough: • 150 g flour • 100 g butter • pinch of salt • 1 tbsp. cold water or 1 ½ tbsp. yogurt 600 g fresh salmon 2-3 medium apples Salt and pepper 2 1 / 2 cup cooking cream Grated cheese Dough: Crumble flour and butter. Add salt, water or yogurt and collect the dough. Place the dough in the fridge for a half hour. Roll dough and place it in a pie dish. 15 min. in the oven before filling is laid in Cut the salmon into very thin slices and place in pie dish, so the bottom is covered. Season with salt and pepper. Peel apples, remove the core and cut them into slices. Put the apples on top of salmon, so it is completely covered. Pour cream over and sprinkle finally with a good layer of grated cheese. Bake salmon in the oven at about 375-400 F for 20-25 minutes. Until cheese is golden. I must be honest, this recipe is not one that I have made up, but got it from Denmark were I come from, so I do not know if it counts... -I just wanted to share this lovely recipe whit as many as possible. The dough is very good for other recipe's too! Victoria and Co. |
