hi,
I have recipe that is healthy and great for whole family, no matter the age I grown up in Poland and as a child I loved all kind of soups, including ghurken soup, sauerkraut soup and this 'pinky one'. which girl won't eat a soup that is pink? 1.I am preparing stock with boiling meat, or for vegetarinas just vegs. 2. chop green beans, carrots and add to the stock. I also like to add a black fried whole or half onion for flavour, but you could just chop finely onion and fry it with little oil (preferebly with good quality sausage, chopped) and add some flour to the onion, when tender. stir for 30sec (it should be very thick, so it will make soup thickier) 3. to the onion and flour add some of the stock and stir it until looks like sauce, keep it on the small heat. 4. to the stock put drained red kidney beans, small can of tomato puree and finally grated beetroot(to speed up cooking just use cooked ones) and add your fried onion and flour, to thicken the soup, stir it immidiately. 5. add salt or pepper, tiny sugar for yourself, kids don't need that, but drops of lemon will help you absorb the vitamins and/or drops of vinegar 6. I love fresh parsley in the soup, it's up to you ![]() 7. add sour cream either to the soup or serve it red in a plate, with a 'white middle' if you want to create small face on it ![]() *I won't give you how much ingredients yuo'll need, because this soup will be great, the way you like it. for big sauce pan I use 4 med beetroots. *this soup is so addaptable: love potatoes? add some, *blend it for babies and young toddlers *serve it with bread, rolls *serve it with chopped cooked egg!!! then goes sausage(you could fry it without the oil, or don't fry it at all) *fir girl's you can call the soup 'Prinzess Soup'. The more cream you will add, the more pinky it will be * remember how good beetroot is for our health! bon appetit, monika, -mum of a 8 and 22 months babies Last edited by monikawalo : 16-02-10 at 13:37. |

I love beetroot with salad but couldn't eat it on it's own cos it's quite a strong flavour, so is the soup harsh tasting? If not, I might give this a go cos it sounds yummy and would be nice to have a different soup. Can't get Finlay to eat soup no matter what but pink is his favourite colour atm
so he might actually try this one ![]() |
