These are so scrummy!!
Ingredients: Rack of Pork Ribs (or you can buy from butcher, I just got a rack of ribs from Waitrose as my butcher was closed today) 4 tblsps. Dry mustard powder 8 tblsps. Soy Sauce (light and dark, so I did 4 of each) 8 tsps. Worcestershire Sauce (please note this is TEASPOONS not tablespoons LOL) 8 tblsps. Tomato ketchup 8 tblsps. Clear honey 8 tblsps. Plum Jam (the cheapest one you can get with not too many skins, also easier to mix into the sauce if you heat it first until runny.) Method: In a large pan, place the ribs in with enough boiling water to cover and add 2 tablespoons vinegar, bring to the boil, then simmer for 10 mins. Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix all of the other ingredients together to make the sauce, a little tip here would be to mix the mustard powder with a little of the soy sauce first to make a paste so that it doesn't go lumpy ![]() When the ribs are ready, drain and transfer to a roasting tin lined with foil. Pour over the sauce and cover the ribs with foil. Bake in the oven at 180/Gas 4 for 30mins, then remove from the oven and baste well. Turn the oven up to 200/Gas 6 and cook for a further 15-20 mins until crispy and sticky. Keep an eye on them though after about 10-12 mins as they can burn really easily xxxx Enjoy everyone! This is my Mum's recipe BTW, she has done them for years and everyone always goes on about her ribs, this is the first time I've done them tonight and they were really yummy even if I do say so myself!! ![]() |

We always have jacket potatoes and coleslaw
Have a spare plate for the bones and lots of kitchen roll to wipe sticky fingers (after licking of course ) so you can have the jacket and coleslaw in between nibbles of ribs DEEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS! |
