Hello
I'm a newbie to site - so hoping this is an OK post! I was just wondering if anyone has recreated or found a recipe for Chicken and Potato Pie - like the AK eat fussy one. It's delicious and would love to make a batch ... but dont want to mess up and waste lots of ingredients... Thanks v much in advance... |

Well after the post - I decided to stop being a wuss and just started to experiment... and what came out of the oven was easy and pretty decent so thought I may as well share it! Not quite the same as the AK version - but in a similar vein.
one medium onion, one medium leek, one medium carrot, 3 chicken breasts, - all chopped up small. Sprinkle of flour, 200ml lo-salt vegetable stock, splash of apple juice and splash of wine. 3 dessert spoons of tommy sauce and 3 dessert spoons tommy puree. Generous pinches of oregano, marjoram and parsley. Mashed potato. In oven proof pan- fry off the leek and onion in some butter till soft, add chicken and continue to fry till its cooked on the outside. Sprinkle to flour and stir. Then add the remaining ingredients. Bring to the boil and I cooked it at 150 degrees (in a fan oven) for about 50 minutes. Then later in day topped it with mashed pots and grated cheese... and cooked for 20 minutes. I'll definitely be trying it again... so any recommendations/improvements would be great... ![]() |

I introduced chicken to my 6 1/2 months old son today but I don't think he loved it very much. The taste was very blah.
I was told to boil the chicken with the vegetables and blend them all together...no salt, butter, oil, etc...Is it okay to introduce those ingredients for the first time like you mention in your recipe? |
