Won't let me enter competition

Joined website as wanted to enter competition (Hugless Douglas) for my daughter. The fact that I can post here shows I'm registered but when I click to enter I keep getting an error message saying I'm not authorised to access this page. I really want to enter the comp but can't see a way round this as message appears if logoff and login or already logged in a click on link....extremely frustrating

Help....

Hi Ali,
You forgot to click on the link validate your e-mail which you received after registration.

I've enable your account, now you should be able to participate in the competition.

does not let me validate the account through the link and when i copy and paste it does not recognise the validation
