Hugs greatly appreciated thankyou! It's just my bloody family, feel so let down by them!
They never come and visit us and I can't afford to be driving all the way home all the time whilst on mat pay etc, my dad said he would come this weekend but now says no as he has to go with his fiancées son to his sailing comp and even if that wasn't on she wouldn't leave him at home while they visit (he's 16 and has 23 yr old sister also living at home and 30 yr old brother round corner!!!)
I then said why don't you take couple days off during week to see the kids, he can't do that because he's already taking 2 days to lay his patio (he's self employed).
Then my sister phoned asking what we were doing bank hol as her friend can't have her visit now so she thought shed come to us instead but then said if something else comes up she'll do that instead of visiting us!! Then she started laying in to me when I tried explains why i was upset with my dad and me like a t**t cried and hung up! She hasn't phoned back!

FFS! Seems like everything takes priority over my children!!!
My mum is coming for ONE DAY next weekend and that's only cos Finn cried on the phone asking her why she couldn't come and see him!!!!

I can count on one hand how many times they have all seen Ruby and that's because I've taken her down there! She's over 6 months old!!

Sorry for the rant, I just feel sk let down but not for me, for my kids!
Am I just being over emotional about everything?!

Aww sweetie, no wonder your so fecked off

You just cant choose your family. Have you told your dad how you feel? just matter of factly rather than when your upset/angry? And as for your sister shes either coming or shes not, how rude to say she may cancel if something better comes along!

They are the ones missing out, if they cant be arsed to visit you and the kids then shame on them!

Massive hugs SD, thats crap. Your sister needs to make up her mind as either say she's coming or not, how rude. Can you talk to them about how you feel? Maybe they don't realise you are bothered? I only say that as i was always close to my mum but it seems the longer i've lived away the further apart we've become & sometimes it seems as though she's just not that interested. I don't think she realises that she comes across like this either.

Hugs Sarah! No wonder you're feeling down in the dumps! Like Rachel says, you can't pick your family. Mine get me down like that sometimes too. Have a chat with your dad if you can. Chin up lovely x
