forgot to say it took lots of worry, tears, stress, persaverence (sp) and eventually I stopped milk but she was a lot older (over 2) and she now eats most days.

My sister's first was on the boob only for a whole year and then self-weaned easy-peasy. His brother did same at 8 months. My boy was desperate for solids but I held out with no bleedin sleep till 5 months (with him at my boob every hour day and night he was so hungry) cos the 'advice' said boob only for 6 months - and I sooo wish I'd ignored it and did what my LO wanted. Must be sooooooo frustrating for you but maybe her body just needs your milk and maybe her body is much more intelligent than the fussy old HV. Who says all babies should be the same???

she wants tit all night now...

im so seriously considering tit strike and bottle/cup only

oh hugs to you... there are mums who can't bf and then there are mums who can't get em orf!!!! you must be supplying gold top....can't win can we!!!!! how long this been going on now??
