You can freeze them but I wouldn't think the texture would be as nice once they come out of the freezer. Most fruit tends to lose moisture and become mushy on defrosting. I've frozen them in the past but always used the chunks frozen in smoothies and for cooking so don't know how they turn out just for eating. I peel and slice/cube mine, spread out on a chopping board or other flat freezable item then freeze till solid and pack in zip loc bags, excluding as much air as I can to prevent freezer burn later on. By freezing them that way it is easy to just take out a handful of pieces as necessary. If you just put them in a bag and freeze them they will just freeze into a solid lump. They should keep fine for up to a year if well packaged.
