Here is a recipe for scones that I made yesterday

enjoy my lovelies
450g self raising flour
60g Unsalted Butter
1 teaspoon of Icing sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
430ml of buttermilk
(I used 200mls of creme fraiche and 240mls of milk, I didn't have any buttermilk)
pre heat oven to 200deg (fan oven)
Grease a baking tray.
Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl and rub in the butter until it makes bread crumbs.
Stir in enough of the butter milk to make a soft but sticky dough ( I used all of my liquid)
flour a a surface and tip the dough onto it and knead lightly until formed into a dough.
Roller it out until it is about 2cm thick and cut out shapes using cutter (I used a 2in cutter)
Place shapes on baking sheet and bake in oven for 15 mins, keep and eye on the you may need to take them out or turn the oven down slightly in the last 2 mins.
Eat warm with Jam and clotted cream or with butter and jam for the kids... cream isnt good for them...so we have to eat it
