Default Help Advise Needed Please!!

Good Evening,

My LO is doing my head in eating wise. He has been brought up on AK recipies all his little life, he is now 16 months and since xmas he has decided that he only wants fish fingers, chips, potato waffles, baked beans, cheese, crackers, jam sandwiches, vegitable fingers and pasta in a tomato based sauce and not much else. He'll have cearal and toast for beakfast with no problems. New foods are a no no just clamps his lips closed. I can't false feed him.

I feel so bad as i feel its my fault because it was easier and cheaper over the xmas period as my partner lost his job.

What do i do, shall i go back to making batches of different recipies again?, allow him to eat more things on his own?, finger food?.

I want to scream as i feel everything is wasted, i trt feeding him on his own or at the table with his dad and sister.

Any advise much appriated.

Jen

i went through something very similar, to start with it was all organic home made AK meals, then gradually he refused most of these healthy things & i went to fish fingers, sausages, burgers etc etc, but now he's getting older he's starting to join in more with family meals, Roast Dinners, Pasta Bol etc etc & starting even to eat vegetables again, think its all phases with these lil ones & i'm hopeful that the good start he had will not have been wasted. all i can suggest is to keep giving things you know will be eaten, but keep adding a little here & there, fresh veg, fresh fruit etc & hope some gets through!.

First of all Dont panic!
It is a phase hun, all kids go through it!

Please dont worry yourself over it, he will eat properly when he is ready.
Both of mine have/are going through this too and it and they are both fine, they eat what they want and they are fine.

If your really worried you can give him vitamin drops just to supplement. x x x
