My 10 month old baby girl seems to have very little interest in food for the past few weeks. Some days she eats no lunch at all and has to have a bottle, if she has meat with vegs for lunches she will not eat a dinner, and i give her baby rice and fruit.

What can i do to make food more interesting previously she had been eating 5 cubes for lunch and 4 cubes for tea. Any idea's for recipes for dinner.

She will eat strawberries and bannanas and small bits of bread. Tried her with scrambled egg last night and she gagged that much on it make herself sick.

Any idea's for tea time would be greatly appreciated, she has meat and veg at lunch time and don't want to give her another dinner in the evenings. How fine should the meat be pureed at this stage. She is ten months.

Hi, perhaps see how she gets on with eating with her fingers. My daughter is now 11 months but I don't puree her food anymore, and havent for some time now. I just cut it up really small but she has always been good with lumps and textures.

Have you given her pasta yet? My daughter loves nothing more than delving into a pasta dish which I serve with a veg sauce or cheese sauce, she finger feeds it and will eat so much more this way than with a spoon.

Like your daughter she isnt interested so much anymore with certain foods but I think its just because she wants to feed herself. I also find that if I give her a spoon or something to play with it distracts her enough to be able to spoon some in before she gets fed up.

As for ideas, as an alternative to meat and veg every day you could mix meat and veg and tuna etc with pasta or rice (I use normal rice and normal pasta spirals but did start of with baby stars), I've started giving my daughter low salt/sugar baked beans with mash and fish or chicken, pasta dishes which you can make a veg sauce with or bolognaise etc.
She will also eat small squares of sandwhiches.

I'm sure she will pick up again soon x
