Default Salmon Footballs gone wrong!

Hi Everyone,
bit of a newbie to this, my LO is a great eater and love almost all of the AK recipes i try.
I tried cooking the salmon football for the first time, and followed the recipe through every step.
but when i tried cooking them (in fryin pan on low heat) they pretty much fell apart, am i doin something wrong or is it just a case of practice make's perfect wit these?

I would say if you followed the recipe through then it's nothing you are doing & this quite often happens to me when making AK's veggie burgers and some other non AK recipes. They never seem to look as nice as they do in the book! x

I find with any sort of fish cake that I have to use floury potatoes, the type of potato you use can really affect the results alot I find.

I think it is best to chill the mix before shaping and frying as it seems to hold together better, and I squish it together well when I am forming the patties.

I always make little patties rather than balls as I find them much easier to cook.

I have found this very frustrating with meatballs and now I oven bake them in a cup cake tray and find they keep their shape fine, not sure if the same pricipal would work with fishcakes....
