Smile Dropping Bottle Feed

I am on our third week of weaning with my 6 1/2 month old and I am hoping give me some advice I have been following the meal planners and this week is to drop lunchtime bottle feed and introduce water/juice. Well today I tried it for the first time and my lo has had the right hump all afternoon!! Would you advise to carry on bottle feeds as usual and let him reduce his bottle feeds when he ready or to carry on leaving out the lunch time bottle?

Also-sorry I know going on a bit!! But when best time to start introducing finger foods?

Don't drop any bottle feeds until your LO does so himself. Milk remains the most important source of nutrition till he is one so just follow his lead when it comes to cutting out bottles. You can offer a little water with meals but don't stress if he doesn't take it. Try to avoid juice as much as possible as it can fill them up. If the meal planner doesn't fit in with your schedule then just go with whatever suits you, it is really meant as a guideline and you don't have to follow it to the letter.

Start finger foods any time from now on.
